VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
2026 GUN AND SPORTSMAN SHOW
- PROJECT DETAILS: This year’s gun show is being held at Kin 2 and 3 located next to the CN Center. Last year we had over 80 vendors from across Western Canada ranging from single table vendors to vendors taking up 1/3 of an arena. This year we are hoping to have a variety of returning vendors as well as many new ones. We had over 2800 people through the doors in the 3 days it was open to the public. Our event starts with setup on Thursday the 21st and ends with tear down Sunday after the doors close at 3pm. We will have many volunteer positions open to help make the show run smoothly.
- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
- general labour to set up tables and help vendors load in their goods. Thursday May 21st from approx 9am to 6pm and Friday May 22nd from 8am to 3pm, and then take down tables and help vendors pack up from 3pm until the last vendor is out, last year we were out around 6pm but the time will vary
- security/information givers to monitor exits/entrances and walk the show floor occasionally to be a visible presence. This will be needed from Friday at 2pm to 915pm, Saturday from 830am to 615pm, Sunday from 830am to 330pm. Shifts will be staggered as needed depending on when volunteers are available. Chairs can be provided for those monitoring exits.
- ticket sales/admissions – we will need staff who are able to keep up with a fast paced cash and debits sales. This will be needed from Friday at 330pm to 9pm, Saturday from 845am to 6pm, Sunday from 845am to 3pm. Volunteers should be good with basic math and comfortable dealing with cash and a simple debit machine. This position will also be selling raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets. Various shifts will be available.
- TIME EXPECTED: shifts will vary depending on availability of volunteers throughout the event. We would like minimum commitments of at least 4 hours at a time to ensure we can get proper coverage of duties.
